Danny Granger's cousin 'Keith' has become a mythical urban legend-esque figure among NBA fans. Last month, comedian Brittany Schmitt went viral for telling a story about having a threesome with a former NBA player and his cousin. As the story goes, the unnamed player is a follower of Jehovah's witnesses. Only two active players are affiliated with the religion.

After engaging in sexual intercourse, the player allegedly called the comedian and told her she must repent for her sins. She found the situation humorous. The player described the act of repenting as "life changing." The comedian responded by saying, "So was your cousin Keith."

The player is rumored to be former NBA veteran Danny Granger. But does Danny Granger have a cousin named Keith? The comedian may not have used Keith's real name to protect his privacy.

Granger doesn't have any connections with an individual named Keith on social media. It's quite a wild story. You can watch it in its entirety below:

After being selected 17th overall in the 2005 NBA draft, Granger spent nearly a decade with the Indiana Pacers. It was there that he had the most success of his career. He made his only NBA All-Star appearance in 2019. The Pacers qualified for the playoffs three times during his tenure.

After eight-plus seasons with the Pacers, Granger was traded to the LA Clippers midway through the 2013-14 season. He appeared in 12 regular-season games and 11 playoff games for the Clippers that year. The Clippers lost in six games to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Semifinals. He became an unrestricted free agent that offseason.

Granger signed a one-year contract with the Miami Heat in July 2014. He was traded to the Phoenix Suns just months later on February 19, 2015. The Detroit Pistons acquired him during the summer in a multiplayer trade. Granger spent the preseason rehabbing knee and foot injuries in Arizona. The Pistons waived him on October 26, 2015.

The New Orleans, Louisiana native averaged 16.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 586 career regular-season games.

Granger has kept a relatively low profile since his retirement. Nobody is certain whether the story of the threesome is true, or if Danny Granger's cousin Keith even exists.
