Tee Morant is the proud father and harshest critic of Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant. The elder Morant can be seen regularly in the stands during his son's games, whether at home in the FedEx Forum or on the road. Tee even gets into it with other players and parents from time to time.

A native of South Carolina, Tee played high school basketball at Hillcrest and was a teammate of Hall of Fame guard Ray Allen. He also played college basketball for Claflin University. He had plans to turn professional but decided not to pursue it when his wife, Jamie, got pregnant with Ja.

It all paid off for the Morant family, with Ja becoming a college star for Murray State. He was then drafted second overall in 2019 and is now one of the best young players in the NBA today.

Tee Morant has always been tough on his son growing up and it turned Ja into one of the best NBA players today. Despite Ja turning professional, he still can't escape his father's criticism.

After the Memphis Grizzlies eliminated the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs, Tee called his son's performances throughout the series trash. Ja didn't have the best series, but the team was able to advance in six games.

"Ja played like trash. Trash!" Tee said.

Tee Morant is known for talking trash with NBA players and players' parents from time to time. In Friday's game between the LA Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, Tee leveled up and got into it with NFL legend Shannon Sharpe.

At the end of the first half, Sharpe got into a shouting match with multiple Grizzlies players, including Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, and Steven Adams. It all started when Brooks said something to Sharpe, who responded by gesturing the player to come and tell him face-to-face.

Adams went towards Sharpe and the coaches had to restrain him. That's when Ja came in and started talking with the legendary tight end. Tee also came over, but security got a hold of everyone and started separating them.

Before the start of the second half, it was revealed on the ESPN broadcast that Tee Morant was all good. His blood pressure was normal and he still loved and respected Sharpe. It should also be noted that no one was ejected from the game or from the arena.
