"What I tell them is that dad is working his butt off," Capel said. "He's showing up every day. I'm giving everything, I love my job, I love the guys I work with. I love the kids I have the chance to work with, but this is not who I am. Who I am is who I am with you guys every day."

The Pittsburgh Panthers completed the season sweep of the North Carolina Tar Heels on Wednesday with a 65-64 win. However, the headlines were filled with how Jeff Capel III's brother, Pittsburgh assistant and former UNC player, Jason Capel, was getting into it with fans in the stands.

Jeff told reporters after the game that Jason was upset by a tweet posted by the Tar Heels' official account. He added that his brother felt disrespected by some fans in attendance. Jason played for UNC from 1998 to 2002 before becoming the head coach of Appalachian State in 2010.

"My brother loves the school," Jeff said. "He dreamt of coming here as a player when we were little, when he was little. He wore that jersey with a lot of pride, and since he's left here, there has been a lot of disrespect toward him.
"And one thing happened today, and I don't think it's coming from within the basketball program, and I don't know who controls their social media. ... I get social media, you try to be funny or whatever, but I thought it was them trolling him."
