Dillon Brooks has been in the headlines for far more than just his pre-game outfits. In recent weeks, Brooks has publicly gone back and forth with Draymond Green both on the court and in the media.

This week, Brooks made headlines for shoving a cameraman on the sidelines after going for a loose ball in the second quarter of the Grizzlies' showdown in Miami. The league released a statement on the matter, announcing a $35,000 fine for Brooks for "the unsportsmanlike act of shoving a camera person."

For Brooks, who is tied with Luka Doncic and Draymond Green as league leaders in technical fouls this season (16), he'll have to tread carefully going into the playoffs. Per the NBA's official rules, every two technicals from here on out will see Brooks handed another suspension.

Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks’ beef

With Dillon Brooks recently receiving a $35,000 fine, his beef with Draymond Green is back in headlines. When the Grizzlies played the Warriors, Brooks wanted to make his presence felt. The way Draymond Green saw things, he was trying to get in his head, and spark a reaction that would earn him his 16th technical of the season.

While Green didn’t take the bait, after hearing Brooks rip him and the Warriors post-game, the four-time champ didn’t hold back. Although he initially declined to comment, he then fired back on his podcast, shutting down talk of a rivalry between the two teams, saying the Grizzlies hadn’t earned a rivalry.

“He said, 'I just don't like Golden State.' I, quite frankly, wouldn't like a team that beats me all the time either. That's No. 2. 'I don't want anything to do with them.' Quite frankly, you were a little kid in high school watching us win championships. You should be happy that you even witnessed that.”

The two teams are of course slated to face off one final time on Saturday, where the rivalry will likely rear its ugly head once more. In the time since the two teams last squared off, Green has racked up his 16th technical foul. Whether or not he’s more willing to take Brooks’ bait knowing he won’t face an immediate suspension, only time will tell.
