Collectively, the Los Angeles Clippers didn't get the credit they deserved during their expectation-defying 2018-19 season, and Danilo Gallinari's excellent performances were largely overlooked.

The Italian's career has been derailed by injuries since being drafted sixth overall in the 2008 NBA draft by the New York Knicks, although the 31-year-old managed to overcome his issues during an excellent season.

Over 68 appearances, Gallinari averaged 19.8 points and 6.1 rebounds while shooting 43% from beyond the arc. While he was ultimately snubbed for the 2019 All-Star Game, his trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder puts him in a position to post career numbers as he chases a big payday next summer.

The veteran will likely top 20 points for the first time in his career, and if he can continue his accuracy from beyond the arc while also guiding the Thunder to a respectable record, there is no doubting he will be in the frame to make the game in Chicago.
