Alec Burks heading to Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City have been looking to add a swingman in free agency and according to Royce Young of ESPN, the Thunder have found one in free agent guard Alec Burks.
Burks was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2011 draft by the Utah Jazz, and the swingman spent eight seasons with the team before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. However, he was sent to the Kings after just two months and Burks managed just 9.8 minutes per game over 12 appearances.
However in Favors, the Thunder are getting a player who is in his prime years and can pose a threat from three-point range. Burks has earned $40 million over the past four seasons, so his acquisition on a much smaller deal is a major win for them.
