In the final games of his NBA career, Michael Jordan found it increasingly tough, especially after turning 40 years old. On March 4th 2003, Jordan had one of those nights battling two obstacles, the Toronto Raptors and his own body. Jordan managed just four points before back spasms forced him out of the game.

At the time of his departure, Michael Jordan's box score on the night looked like this; he played just 15 minutes, converting two of his five field-goal attempts with 3 rebounds and two assists as the Washington Wizards eventually went on to lose the game by four points.

Against the Toronto Raptors on December 15th, 2002, Michael Jordan matched his career low in terms of points scored, with two. After making just one of nine shots from the field and not even attempting a single free throw.

In 39 minutes, Michael Jordan surely had his worst game in terms of scoring, but he put on a solid all-round performance. He dished out nine assists, grabbed eight rebounds, recorded two steals and one block without a single turnover.

Towards the end of Michael Jordan's first season with the Washington Wizards, it was clear that there was a new sheriff in town in terms of the shooting guard position.

The new dominant player in the NBA at the same position Michael Jordan had reigned supreme during the 1990s was Kobe Bryant. As Bryant and the reigning champions LA Lakers got in Jordan and Washington's way on April 2nd, 2002, Jordan had one of the worst games of his NBA career.

He scored just two points (career low) in only 12 minutes of action (career low) as the Washington Wizards fell to the LA Lakers by 20 points. Signaling a passing of the torch.
