James Wiseman has failed to perform for the Golden State Warriors this season, which led to a recent stint in the NBA G League. Wiseman has also been linked to several trade rumors that could help improve the Warriors' chances of defending their championship.

Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed a deal between Golden State and the Orlando Magic involving the former No. 2 pick. The Warriors will receive Gary Harris and Moritz Wagner, while the Magic will get Wiseman, Moses Moody and a couple of second round picks.

Buckley pointed out the Warriors' lack of depth as the reason for doing a trade like this. He also thinks that Golden State should not waste one of the best seasons of Steph Curry's career. Harris is a 3-and-D player, while Wagner is a better option than Wiseman at this point.

The Golden State Warriors have one of the best front offices in the NBA. They are not afraid to make trades, which is why they are already linked to several players ahead of the February deadline.

Some of the players the Warriors are rumored to be interested in include Saddiq Bey of the Detroit Pistons, Jakob Poeltl of the San Antonio Spurs, Jae Crowder of the Phoenix Suns and Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers.

All four players provide Golden State with the depth needed for another championship run. It was one of the reasons why they won the title last season. Gary Payton II, Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica provided valuable minutes off the bench.

Some were worried when the Golden State Warriors sent James Wiseman to the NBA G League on Nov. 14. Wiseman has failed to live up to the hype of being the second overall pick. His knee injury didn't help, but being ineffective in the Warriors' system is a different issue.

With the trade deadline a couple of months away, there has been a lot of chatter about the possibility of trading Wiseman. A Western Conference executive told In Sean Deveney of Heavy Sports that there will be teams interested in acquiring the 21-year-old big man.

"If they start taking calls on him, there is going to be interest," the executive said. "As much as he has struggled, he has talent and might perform better in a different system. It just is a matter of when they decide they need to cut bait there and get someone who can help them now, or if they ever decide that at all."
