According to reporter Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson, the Nets have had "some talks" with the 10-time All-Star. Brooklyn is off to a slow start this season. They are tied for 12th in the Eastern Conference with a 2-5 record. Anthony has been a free agent since the offseason. He could provide the Nets with scoring off the bench.

While Anthony is past his prime, he's shown that he can still be a productive NBA player. The 38-year old spent last season with the LA Lakers. He was one of the few bright spots on a disappointing team. Anthony averaged 13.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 26.0 minutes during the 2021-22 season.
