With the NBA trade deadline fast approaching, it's not surprising to see some players on the rumor mill. Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls is reportedly garnering interest from four teams. LaVine is a two-time All-Star who just signed a new contract this summer.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers could make Myles Turner available for trade. Turner has been linked with many teams in the last two seasons but remains in Indiana. The two sides are rumored to be negotiating a contract extension, but nothing has been signed.

On that note, here's the latest NBA rumors roundup for January 6 brought to you by Sportskeeda.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, at least four teams are monitoring Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls ahead of the NBA trade deadline. Scotto named the LA Lakers, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat as potential suitors.

"The Knicks have plenty of draft picks they can offer along with salaries to reach LaVine’s salary," Scotto said. "LaVine played at UCLA, and when he signed with Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, the natural question people had around the league was whether they’d eventually try to get him to the Lakers.
Dallas is always looking to improve its roster around MVP candidate Luka Doncic, and LaVine would help take the scoring load off him. ... Miami's best trade asset to dangle is Tyler Herro in a theoretical trade package."

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported last month that the Indiana Pacers are working on a contract extension with Myles Turner. The Pacers are one of the surprise teams of the season, with Turner having a great season. Turner could command a four-year, $96.8 million deal.

However, Matt Moore of the Action Network cited sources as saying that the Pacers could trade Turner if they don't reach an agreement on a new contract. Turner has been mentioned on so many rumors over the last two years, so it won't be surprising to see him remain in Indiana.

Some of the NBA teams that have been linked with Myles Turner include the LA Lakers and Golden State Warriors. Turner is averaging 16.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.2 blocks this season.

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to improve their roster as they prepare for another postseason run. The Bucks are reportedly interested in Bojan Bogdanovic of the Detroit Pistons, per Matt Moore of the Action Network.

Moore noted that the Bucks could turn their attention to Bogdanovic following their failed acquisition of Jae Crowder from the Phoenix Suns. Milwaukee were close to getting Crowder in a three-team deal with the Houston Rockets. The trade fell through, though, as the Rockets wanted more draft compensation.

Bogdanovic is having the best season of his NBA career. He's the best player for the Detroit Pistons this season, with Cade Cunningham to miss the rest of the campaign. The Croatian star is averaging 21.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists this season.

Christian Wood is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. However, the Dallas Mavericks are interested in extending his contract, and the two sides are reportedly negotiating a potential deal, as per Marc Stein on Substack.

Wood was acquired by the Mavericks from the Houston Rockets in the offseason. He came off the bench to start the season but has produced the goods in the last few weeks. He's averaging 20.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.3 blocks in their last 12 games.

If Wood and the Mavericks don't agree an extension before the NBA trade deadline, he's expected to become available. Teams needing a big man who can shoot and defend will likely make a call to Dallas.

Jae Crowder remains away from the Phoenix Suns as they continue to find the right trade for him. Crowder has not played an NBA game this season after demanding a trade out of Phoenix in the offseason.

Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports reported that the Suns are demanding a "playoff-caliber" player in exchange for Crowder. The team has struggled recently due to injuries. They will likely need someone who can contribute late in the season as they push for a spot in the postseason.
