Steph Curry breaks down one of his insane shots which even left his coach bewildered: “There’s a level of obsession about the details”

Steph Curry has had several incredible moments in his career. He recently broke down arguably the most insane shot of his career.

In a regular season game against the LA Clippers in 2014, Curry dribbled through four guys in a very tight space and managed to get his shot up. Not only did he take the shot, but he also made it after all the razzle-dazzle.

The play left head coach Steve Kerr baffled. He threw his hands in the air in awe as no one expected Curry to take the shot.

On "The Old Man & The Three with JJ Reddick and Tommy Alter," Curry broke down his thought process during the play. He broke down the play and explained how he pulled it off.

"All those are guys are out there, they're like in one section of the court, right at the top of the key. And then there's four of us above the three-point line. So, there's just so much traffic.

"I think Draymond swung it to me and (Andrew) Bogut set this weird screen. And you just go on autopilot. I knew there was four people there, but every move I did was perfect."

After further explaining the situation with Chris Paul trying to steal the ball, he continued:

"My favorite thing is coach Kerr was trying to instill discipline in our offense. 'Always move it. Good shot to great shot.'

"So, I do this whole move, they got the camera on him, and he's like (makes a bewildered face) as I'm turning around and shooting. 'Cause Klay is wide open on the right wing and the right play is to kick it to him but I'm just on auto-pilot and I make it."

When asked how he managed to get in the zone consistently, he said:

"Anybody who has watched me train in the summers and how I approach, even in season, skill work and all that. There's a level of obsession about the details, when it comes to footwork, when it comes to balance."

The NBA has seen its share of incredible ball handlers, including the likes of Allen Iverson, Jamal Crawford, and Kyrie Irving. But Jeff Van Gundy, who called the game, said it could be the greatest move he has ever seen.

Eight years later, Curry is still putting together outstanding performances for the Golden State Warriors. Although he has not made a move as daring, he has continued to mesmerize opponents with his on-and-off-ball movement.

The Warriors have struggled this campaign but are slowly getting back to winning ways. Coming into the season, many thought they would defend their titles but they slacked in the early stages of the season.

Perhaps their most dreadful run is winning one of their ten road trips. They have a 10-10 record and hold 10th position in the Western Conference standings.

Steph Curry, however, is averaging 31.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 7.1 assists. He is shooting 44.%% from beyond the arc and 52.7% from the field.
