Steph Curry's 2015-2016 season records
During his 2015-2016 unanimous MVP season, Steph Curry broke the record for most three-pointers made in a single-season. The four-time NBA champion made history by knocking down his 287th triple of the season in February with 24 games left. The previous record holder? Steph Curry in 2014-2015.
Steph Curry would knock down 115 more triples over his final 23 games played (he sat out one game to rest), averaging 5.0 three-pointers made per contest. For the season, Curry made 402 total three-pointers in 79 games, averaging 5.1 three-pointers made per game, an NBA-record.
Remarkably, Curry is averaging 5.2 three-pointers made per game in 2022-2023, putting him on pace to once again break the single-season record for three-pointers made.
In the game prior to breaking the single-season record for three-pointers made, Curry broke another record. This was for the most consecutive games with at least one three-pointer made, as he connected from deep for the 128th straight game. Curry would extend the streak to 157 games before having it snapped. He has since broken the record, as he has made at least one three-pointer in 211 games and counting.
Curry became the seventh-member of the 50-40-90 club. He did this by shooting 50.4% from the field, 45.4% from three-point range, and 90.8% from the free-throw line. Two more players have since joined the exclusive club (Malcolm Brogdon and Kyrie Irving).
Additionally, Curry is the only member of the club to average at least 30.0 points per game, as he finished with a league-leading 30.1 points per game. He also made more than twice as many triples of any member of the club as Steve Nash ranks second with 179 three-pointers made.

Golden State Warriors' records
The 2015-2016 Golden State Warriors broke the NBA single-season win record as they finished with a 73-9 record. They became the first team to lose single-digit games over a season. While Golden State were unable to repeat as NBA champions, they have won three titles since, removing some of the pain.
Additionally, the 2015-2016 Warriors became the first team in NBA history to make at least 1000 three-pointers in a season. 28 teams have since accomplished the feat, including three additional Golden State rosters.
