#8 Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves)

2019-20 NBA Season: 26.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists.

There is no doubt that the numbers conjured by Karl-Anthony Towns are incredible, but they are not good enough for him to be in the conversation about the best center in the NBA.

Towns' offense may be among the best in the league, but on the other side of the floor, the 24-year-old is a near liability for his team. Many had expected his ability on that end of the floor to pick up, but it has arguably only gotten worse.

It has even led critics to attribute the player's defensive fallibilities as one of the key reasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves not making the NBA Playoffs this season.

#7 Russell Westbrook (Houston Rockets)

2019-20 NBA Season: 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists.

Russell Westbrook has been touted as one of the best point guards in the NBA for several years now but has yet to prove himself in the playoffs.

When the 31-year-old left the OKC Thunder to join the Houston Rockets, many believed that Westbrook was on his way to becoming an NBA champion. However, the player turned in one of his worst performances ever in the second round.

It may be harsh, but if Russell Westbrook cannot prove himself in the postseason, he may perhaps be remembered only as a regular-season player and nothing more than that.

#6 Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers)

2019-20 NBA Season: 23 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3 assists.

Coming in at number six in our list of the top 10 overrated players in the 2019-20 NBA season is Joel Embiid. The 26-year-old undeniably has the potential to be the best center in the NBA but has been too inconsistent in his performances over the years.

Moreover, he hardly takes care of his diet during the off-season and is frequently injured, leaving many to wonder where all the hype and fanfare for this player really comes from.

Embiid is a good player but needs to take a massive step up in order to justify the level of attention he receives.

#5 Kyle Kuzma (LA Lakers)

2019-20 NBA Season: 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists.

Kyle Kuzma, one of the LA Lakers' youngest players, has many fans waving their hands up in the air and proclaiming how good he is and could be.

However, the fact of the matter is that Kuzma is almost a below-par player. A look at his current stats would tell you that countless rookies have had similar numbers but haven't nearly received as much hype.

It appears to be a case of a young player happening to play in an overpowering team which is making fans believe that the player is miles above where he really is.
