Accomplishing a triple-double game in the NBA isn't exactly rare, but it isn't an easy feat either. It takes a lot of focus and skill for players to achieve these kinds of figures. Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook are notable players who have been heavily linked to the stat line. However, only a select few players could put up a triple-double while scoring superhuman figures.

With that said, let's take a look at five of the highest-scoring triple-double games in NBA history.

Top 5 highest-scoring triple-double NBA games in history

#1-2 - Luka Doncic and James Harden (Tied at 60 Points)

Luka Doncic recently had a historic night when he achieved a 60-point triple-double in a game against the New York Knicks. The only other player to put up a similar figure was James Harden back in 2018 against the Orlando Magic. Harden held the record for four years with 60 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds.

However, Luka Doncic's recent accomplishments made more impact with 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists. Doncic not only holds the record for the highest-scoring triple-double game but is also now the only player to put up 60/20/10.

#3 - Russell Westbrook (57 Points)

Russell Westbrook is the undisputed king of triple-doubles with a total count of 197. He recently pulled up another triple-double against the Orlando Magic with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 assists. But having been dubbed the triple-double king, Westbrook has accomplished better figures in the past.

Dating all the way back to his time with the OKC Thunder, Russ used to hold the record for the highest-scoring triple-double game. On March 29, 2017, Russell Westbrook had 57 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists.

#4-5 Wilt Chamberlain and James Harden (Tied at 53 Points)

Back in 2016, James Harden tied the record for the highest-scoring triple-double game with the legendary Wilt Chamberlain. Harden had 53 points, 17 assists, and 16 rebounds. While this was without a doubt an impressive feat at the time, it was nowhere near the figures Chamberlain put up. Wilt had 53 points, 32 rebounds, and 14 assists.

To be fair to Harden, Chamberlain played in an era when it was easy to stat pad in the NBA. If "The Beard" had the opportunity to travel back in time, he would've easily put up the same figures if not better.
