#3 Nikola Vucevic, Center
Over the last few seasons, Nikola Vucevic has silently become one of the better three-point shooting centers in the league. In his first five seasons, Vucevic only took 26 three-point attempts. In the next four seasons, Vucevic attempted 799 three-pointers, making 34% of them. Last season, Vucevic took 440 three, taking 6.4 a game, on 40%. Vucevic learned how to extend his range, and the Bulls will be able to mix that into their offense with an entire season with him on the team.
Last season, if Vucevic had been on the Chicago Bulls for the entire season, he would have attempted the third-most threes while making the second most. The Bulls will probably not ask Vucevic to take more threes this season but hope he stays consistent with what he did last season.
After being traded to the Bulls, Vucevic's attempts and percentages took a slight dip. This is probably because he was traded at the deadline, so he should be more comfortable in Chicago with an entire offseason to get ready. If Vucevic plays anything like he did last season, his three-point shooting will be a threat all season.
#2 Lonzo Ball, Guard
Lonzo Ball is joining the Chicago Bulls on a four-year $85 million contract. Early in Ball’s career, he struggled from behind the three-point line. In his first two seasons, he shot 32% from three on just 5.3 attempts per game. However, Ball found his shooting stroke in the 2019 offseason, and he improved to a 38% shooter from three on 7.2 attempts.
If Ball can keep the same production he has had over the last two seasons, it will help the Bulls a lot this season and deeper into his contract. Last season, Ball attempted 444 and made 172 three-pointers, both career highs. It would have also placed him in second place for the Bulls in both of those categories.
Ball has transformed himself into one of the best shooters in the NBA, and if he has a similar production to what he did last season, he will have a massive impact on the Bulls.
#1 Zach LaVine, Guard
Zach LaVine is the best player on the Chicago Bulls and was their only All-Star last season. Every season, LaVine has taken steps in the right direction, and last season was the culmination of all that. LaVine ended with 27.4 points per game, shooting 42% from three on 8.2 attempts.
LaVine, who led the Bulls in both three points attempts, makes and had the highest percentage. On top of that, LaVine had the fourth-highest three-point percentage amongst players with over 400 shots.
LaVine has not only become the best three-point shooter on his team but has become one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA. If he can carry that momentum into next season, he could have back-to-back to All-Star seasons.
Even though his future with the Bulls as of right now is uncertain, the Bulls have done a good job of adding shooters to take some of the pursue off on him to be the main three-point threat.
