A number of high profile names are expected to be on the move

Teams around the NBA have less than 48 hours remaining to make trades as the league's trade deadline is set to come into effect ahead of the annual All-Star Weekend in North Carolina.

A number of high profile names are expected to be on the move, as playoff hopefuls make desperate moves to improve their chances of reaching the postseason, while the NBA's strugglers will be looking to dump salary in return for draft picks.

The Utah Jazz currently holds a 30-24 record, and the team is believed to be looking to make additions ahead of the deadline.

The teams desire to add personal means that departures are also likely, so ahead of the impending deadline, here we will take a look at the biggest Utah Jazz trade rumors

#3 Jazz showing interest in Jabari Parker

Parker is believed to be available ahead of the deadline
Parker is believed to be available ahead of the deadline

After spending four seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, Jabari Parker joined his hometown team in the summer of 2018 on a two-year deal worth $40 million. The deal to take Parker to Chicago looked like a perfect match, however, the former Milwaukee man has had a series of issues with Bulls management.

In late 2018, the 23-year-old was completely taken out of the team's rotation, and Parker has yet to return to the starting lineup. Due to this, Parker is believed to be available ahead of the deadline, and K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Jazz are among the interested teams:

Not that trading Lopez or Parker would be considered a blockbuster. The Bulls merely are trying to gain an asset from two players on expiring contracts. Parker carries a $20 million team option for 2019/20 that almost certainly won’t be exercised no matter what team he’s on come Friday who don’t fit in their future plans. The Lakers and Jazz have inquired on Parker, sources said.

In his 39 appearances for the Bulls this season, Parker has averaged 14.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

#2 Bulls are interested in Ricky Rubio

Rubio will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer
Rubio will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer

Ricky Rubio was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the fifth pick of the 2009 draft, and the Spanish point-guard went on to spend six seasons with the team.

Ahead of the 17/18 season, Rubio was traded to the Jazz in exchange for a first-round draft pick, and in his first season in Utah, the 28-year-old enjoyed the best campaign of his career to date.

Nevertheless, Rubio will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer, and Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times is reporting that Rubio could be heading to the Bulls:

Multiple NBA sources have told the Sun-Times that not only have the Bulls been scouting veteran point guards as the Feb. 7 trade deadline approaches, but they are focusing on veteran point guards who are going to be free agents this offseason and deemed fiscally responsible for some summer shopping, headlined by Ricky Rubio

Injuries have hampered Rubio so far this season, although the point guard has still managed 47 appearances, averaging 12.9 points and 6.1 assists per game.

#1 The Jazz remain interested in Mike Conley

The Grizzlies are looking to dump salary, and with Conley being the teams highest earner, a break up seems inevitable

Mike Conley has spent his entire career with the Memphis Grizzlies, although the team is believed to be willing to trade the 31-year-old ahead of the deadline.

The Grizzlies are looking to dump salary, and with Conley being the teams highest earner, a break up seems inevitable.

In light of this, Conley is attracting interest from around the NBA, and Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated is reporting that the Jazz are one of the interested teams:

The Memphis Grizzlies have continued trade discussions on both franchise cornerstones Mike Conley and Marc Gasol in lead up to Thursday’s trade deadline. As has been widely reported, the Utah Jazz have initiated negotiations centered around Ricky Rubio involving a young player such as Dante Exum and Grayson Allen

Conley has been a regular for the Grizzlies so far this season, averaging 20.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. The point guard is contracted until 2021, and during the 20/21 season, Conley's salary will rise to $34.5 million.
