The professional basketball league uses Overtime Elite Arena located in the Atlantic Stations section of the city. The arena provides much more than just a basketball court, as this is where players also train and study.

The facility has three NBA-sized courts and fits up to 1,300 spectators. It also has classrooms, a dining hall, locker rooms, and more. The building was completed within six months and the first season of the basketball league began in 2021.

The second season of the basketball league, which is still in progress, has brought several big changes. Team Elite, Team OTE, and Team Overtime were rebranded as the City Reapers, YNG Dreamerz, and Cold Hearts.

Additionally, the league expanded and added three more teams: Hillcrest Prep Bruins (Phoenix, Arizona), Our Savior Lutheran Falcons (Bronx, New York), and Word of God Holy Rams (Raleigh, North Carolina).

Throughout the second season, the City Reapers are at the top with a 4-0 record, while the YNG Dreamers are second with five wins and a loss. Freddie Dilione is the league's leading scorer with 25.8 points per game.

NBA players are affiliated with OTE

Several active and former NBA players have been affiliated with the new basketball league. Kevin Durant and Trae Young are its investors, while Pau Gasol and Carmelo Anthony are on its board of directors.

Considering that the league is on the rise, we can expect support from many other NBA stars in the future. While the OTE league cannot compete with the NBA, it provides a great opportunity for young players to show off their skills and get paid to play.
