Following four seasons with the LA Lakers, Alex Caruso was signed to a four-year, $37 million contract by the Chicago Bulls. Not long before signing that contract, the 2019-2020 NBA champion went public with his relationship with Mia Amabile.

Amabile originally hails from Ohio and works as a Social Media Coordinator for LF Stores, according to her LinkedIn profile. She graduated with a degree in Economics from San Diego State University. It is unclear how the couple met. However, they appear to be going strong as they have been together for nearly 18 months.

Alex Caruso was previously with Abby Brewer, sister of ESPN reporter Ashley Brewer, from 2019 to 2021. Not much has been made public regarding why the couple decided to go their separate ways.

Can Alex Caruso and the Chicago Bulls turn it around or should they begin to rebuild?

The Chicago Bulls have been one of the NBA's biggest disappointments to start the season. After finishing last season 46-36 and appearing to be healthy entering the 2022-2023 NBA season, the Bulls were expected to be among the Eastern Conference's postseason locks this season.

Instead, the Bulls are just 11-15 through 26 games. While DeMar DeRozan is likely headed to his sixth All-Star game, he has not received much help. His co-star Zach LaVine, who had made the All-Star Team the previous two seasons, has taken a step back in the first year of a five-year, $215 million contract extension.

LaVine is averaging just 21.9 points per game while shooting 42.9% from the field and 36.3% from three-point range. If LaVine is unable to improve his production, each mark would represent his lowest since his first season in Chicago, all the way back in 2017-2018 when he was just 22 years old.

While the Bulls would surely like to wait for starting point guard Lonzo Ball to return before blowing things up. The most recent update on Ball did not give much reason for optimism. Head coach Billy Donovan shared that there is still no timeline for Ball to make his season debut.

Unfortunately, for Chicago, they may be stuck for the time being. Trading veterans such as DeRozan, Alex Caruso, and the expiring contract of Nikola Vucevic could help expedite a rebuild. However, LaVine's contract may be difficult to move. While getting back into title contention will certainly be difficult, all hope is not lost.

Getting Ball back will help, particularly on the defensive end and from behind the arc, where the Bulls rank 26th in three-pointers made. If LaVine is able to return to his previous level of play, Chicago will likely resemble the team they were expected to be.
