According to basketball reference, Donte DiVincenzo has two nicknames. However, one is already attributed to a former iconic point guard. Along with "White Chocolate," "The Big Ragu" is also something that he goes by.

How did Donte DiVincenzo get the nickname "The Big Ragu"

Before making his way to the NBA, DiVincenzo played three years of college basketball at Villanova. In that time, he won two national championships and averaged 10.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.

Along with having great success on the court in college, Donte DiVincenzo was also graced with one of the funniest nicknames in basketball.

During a game against Virgina, DiVincenzo tipped in a game-winning shot off a miss from now Portland Trail Blazers forward Josh Hart. While the team was celebrating, Villanova announcer Gus Johnson went on to dub him "The Big Ragu." He likely called him that because of his red hair and Italian last name.

After having championship success in college, the winning continued for DiVincenzo in the NBA. In just his third season, he was a key rotation piece for the Milwaukee Bucks as they went on to win the NBA Finals. The front office then decided to trade him the following year at the trade deadline.

Now with the Golden State Warriors, the young guard once again finds himself in a winning situation. It was a rough start to the year for the reigning champs, but they are starting to piece things together. They are above .500 with a record of 11-10, and are 7-3 in their last ten games. On top of that, Steph Curry is putting together one of the best seasons of his entire career.

Even with the Western Conference being as stacked as ever, the Warriors should be seen as the team to beat. Unlike their competitors, they have loads of championship experience. As they continue to build momentum, DiVincenzo might have a shot to add another title to his collection.
