During the 2020 NBA season, many thought Joel Embiid's cryptic tweets hinted at his dissatisfaction with the Philadelphia 76ers, and when he tweeted "I'm still really unhappy," Philly fans were alarmed.

It is noteworthy that at the time of this tweet, neither Doc Rivers nor Daryl Morey had been hired by the 76ers, however, former 76ers coach Brett Brown had left Philadelphia by that time.

The 76ers have built a team around Joel Embiid as their centerpiece for the better part of a decade, and he is unquestionably the leading man on a championship contender team.

Seeing doubts flare up among fans, Embiid proceeded to add the word "Troel" to his username, a portmanteau between "Troll" and "Joel". It was later cleared that Embiid was in fact referring to a Mountain Dew commercial he starred in.

The 76ers have racked up an impressive record in the last month or so, going on an eight-win win streak, followed by their current three-win win streak, which includes last night's overtime win against the Indiana Pacers.

The 76ers have resurrected their season after Harden and Maxey's absences cost them several games at the start of the season. The 76ers are back to full strength now that they have both returned to the lineup.

In the last 13 games, the 76ers are scoring, on average, 119.30 points per game, significantly better than what they were scoring in their first 24 games, at 108.95 points per game.

The reinvigorated offense has been due to the return of James Harden, and while Harden hasn't been scoring like in his Houston days, his passing has balanced out his production on offense.

The 76ers defense, however, has to be the thing that has kept them afloat. Philadelphia has the fourth-best defense in the NBA and is fourth in the league in steals and points off turnovers.

Over the last 13 games, the 76ers have the third-best Defensive Field-Goal percentage in the league, are top-ten in field-goal percentage, and top-five in three-point percentage. With Maxey having only played three of these 13 games, those numbers will only go up.

Harden's two-year contract and the growing skepticism about Philadelphia's chances make their championship window relatively small. Joel Embiid has now been in the league long enough for Philadelphia to expect a championship from the team.
