Ashton Jeanty is a running back for the Boise State Broncos and is playing as a junior in 2024. Jeanty hails from Jacksonville, Florida, and attended the Lone Star High School. During high school, Ashton Jeanty was rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports and ESPN rated him as a three-star prospect. Ashton played as a running back, defensive end, outside linebacker, safety, and wide receiver during high school. According to 247Sports, he was graded as the No. 27 running back in the nation. Jeanty as a senior made 1,843 yards on 229 carries and 810 yards on 41 receptions. He registered 41 total touchdowns and averaged 20.5 points per game. Jeanty was named to the 2020 Texas District 5-5A D-I First Team as a wide receiver. Jeanty was a multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball, track, and field, as well as football. Ashton Jeanty won numerous individual accolades, including being a finalist for the 2024 Heisman Trophy. Jeanty earned the Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Awards for his remarkable 2023 season. Jeanty received several All-America honors, such as earning a spot in the First team selected by AP and CBS Sports. He was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year twice and also earned a spot in the All-Mountain West First Team in 2023 and 2024. As a sophomore, Jeanty led the NCAA in many categories such as, missed tackles forced, total first downs, and was ranked third nationally in all-purpose yards. He is the first FBS player since 2019 to score 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in a season. In his freshman season, Jeanty made 821 rushing yards and was also put on the All-Mountain West Honorable Mention.
