
Ryan Day is a collegiate football head coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes. A former football player, Day played at the linebacker and quarterback positions for the New Hampshire Wildcats college football team. He is the 24th head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes football program, appointed in 2019. He has been one of the most successful coaches in the history of the Ohio State University. As of July 2025, his overall coaching record stands at 70-10.
Since he was appointed the Ohio State head coach, he has helped the Buckeyes appear in three College Football Playoffs (CFP) in 2019, 2020, and 2021. In the College Football Playoffs games, he holds a 1-3 record. His record against Big Ten opponents stands at 39-3. Day earned two Big Ten Championship titles in 2019 and 2020.
