CSK have taken a major decision to rebuild their team, something which they haven't done in the past. And after last year's extremely disappointing performance, the need to go back to the white board must have been evident to the CSK management. It was nice to see that CSK have decided to keep their trust in MS Dhoni, who would be captaining the side in 2021. Suresh Raina's inclusion in CSK's Retained Players List, must have been a sigh of relief for CSK fans. This is because there were several rumours about Raina leaving CSK.
As usual, Jadeja, Bravo and du Plessis were amongst the first to be retained. Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar will be seen donning the yellow jersey for at least another year. Sam Curran was among the few from the team who were able to impress with their performance and he too finds himself amongst the retained players.
