IPL is in its 12 season this year. So far, across 11 seasons Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals have had a total of 21 encounters. Out of which 9 have been won by the Royals and Mumbai have managed to win 11. One match between the two have ended in no result. These statistics suggest that both the Royals and the Indians have been equally balanced teams across the years as none of them was able to come out on the top of the other.
The IPL points table 2020 has now been updated here.
On their first ever encounter, Mumbai Indians defeated the Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets at Mumbai. This was quite an overwhelming victory at least by the standards of the first ever IPL. However on their last encounter the Royals managed to come out victorious, defeating Mumbai Indians by the same number of wickets, 7.
The Mumbai Indians would be captained by Rohit Sharma who is the Indian Cricket team vice captain for the limited overs format. The Royals are captained by the Indian Cricket team Test vice captain, Ajinkya Rahane. It is going to be very interesting to watch the battle between these two.
