
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are one of the 10 franchise teams competing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Founded in 2008 and owned by United Spirits, RCB have played in the IPL final thrice in 2009, 2011, and 2016. Royal Challengers Bengaluru Replacements
RCB signed Mayank Agarwal as a replacement for Devdutt Paddikal, who picked up a hamstring injury after scoring 247 runs in 10 IPL 2025 games, for INR 1 crore. The franchise have also signed Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani as a temporary replacement for Lungi Ngidi, who will leave RCB after May 25, for INR 75 lakh.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL 2025 Auction Purse Value
RCB retained only three players in the IPL 2025 auction by spending INR 37 crore from their purse. As a result, they had a huge purse of INR 83 crore, which was spent comfortably during the auction. RCB spent INR 82.5 crores on 19 players, due to which the management had INR 75 lakh remaining after the auction was over.
