Alley Hunter was introduced as a featured weapon in version 1.4 as an event wish exclusive 4 Star Weapon. With ATK as a secondary stat, this weapon compliments off-field DPS characters incredibly well with its passive. Its design points towards it being good on Oz based Fischl, where she drops Oz on the field and immediately switches to other characters.
Initially used as a weapon for hunting by the nobles, this weapon was stolen by Parsifal, the justful thief who would use it to fight against the nobility. It speaks about the not-so-good ending of the thief’s story, unlike the one mentioned in Wine and Song.

How to get Alley Hunter in Genshin Impact?
Alley Hunter is an event exclusive 4 Star weapon and it means that the only way to obtain this weapon is by wishing on a banner which features this weapon. However, unlike a 5 star weapon, which can be obtained for sure by charting an Epitomized Path, there is no way to guarantee Alley Hunter. There is a chance that you might get this weapon every 10 pulls from the last 4 star or 5 star weapon.

Story
This fine bow has been painted black, all the better to blend perfectly into the deepest night.
This was once the first choice of an opulent noble house in their hunting games.
Till one day, it fell into the hands of a gentleman thief who was never caught.
Its user shot the crowns from the heads of nobles in utter silence.
It shot through many a tightened bond, and disarmed many a pursuing soldier.
It once vowed to bring light to a darkened age.
To bring justice, riches and gladness to the oppressed.
In the past, he did indeed bring justice, riches and gladness to the oppressed, and he brought fear unto those in power, giving them countless sleepless nights in their impotent rage.
He brought light footsteps like rain to the roofs and terraces, and he brought song to the bards in the squares.
He even once pried a sapphire from a noble's regalia to give to a blue-eyed witch, who hunted the vile with spear in hand.
But even to the last, he was unable to bring a single smile to the lips of the witch whom his soul loved, who was as cold as the sapphire he gave her.
In the end, seeking death, her flower-like face was marked with a criminal's brand, and none knew where she went thereafter.
Abandoning his vow, he sailed into the ocean that belonged to no one.
"Pray tell, does she still recall my song? Does she remember those years that pursue me even now, of the wine-scented streets and the songs sung of her?"
Trivia
- Alley Hunter went through a name change for its passive in version 1.6. It was originally called Urban Guerilla, but then changed to Oppidan Ambush.
FAQs
How do you get Alley Hunter?
Alley Hunter is very hard to obtain as it is an event-exclusive 4 Star weapon. This means that this weapon can be obtained only if it is featured in the weapons banner. What makes this even harder to obtain is that it is a 4 Star weapon, which makes it so that there is no guarantee that you can get this weapon upon wishing on this banner.
Is the Alley Hunter good?
Alley Hunter is a very gimmicky weapon reliant on the character being off-field. This means that to utilise the weapon to its maximum potential, you need a character that can deal damage without being on the field. This weapon is incredibly good for Fischl. However, this can not be said for the most of the other characters as they lack a method of dealing consistent damage off-field.
Is Alley hunter good for Sara?
While it is not the best weapon for Sara, it is a fairly decent one. Kujou Sara relies heavily on having a high base ATK on the weapons. Alley Hunter definitely provides this as it has a whopping 565 base ATK. She also benefits from the passive of this weapon as she is often used in quick swap teams. This means that she can deal massive damage while buffing your main DPS.
Final Thoughts
While the Alley Hunter is a very unique weapon, it is also very niche. While there are not a lot of characters that can fully utilise it and use its passive completely, this weapon can provide incredible benefits if the conditions for the passive are met. Alley Hunter is mostly useless on most characters and for that reason alone, this weapon is not worth pulling for. The best way to utilise this weapon is by giving it to Fischl, who is the best off-field bow-wielding damage dealer out there.
