Personality

Genji has a Jock behavior type, meaning that he has a big interest in all things athletic. This means everything from sports to bodybuilding attracts Genji’s attention. He’ll want to talk about all sports all the time and may come across as hyperactive, wanting to compete with the player to see how many fish or bugs they can catch. Though despite all this they mean well. As a jock type, Genji will get along well with Peppy, Cranky, and Sisterly villagers, but may come into conflict with Snooty villagers.

Appearance

Genji Animal Crossing Appearance

Genji is a rabbit villager and while he may have a stoic appearance, he’s welcoming to both villagers and the player. His main color palette is white and dark brown, with white fur around his body and brown fur on his ears, arms and legs. He has black eyes and pink blush but his clothing remains the same across games.

How to get Genji in New Horizons

Getting a villager you want in New Horizons is particularly tricky as there is only one surefire way to do so and thus the rest is up to luck. There are two primary methods of getting Genji in your village; the first is using Nook Miles to fly to an island and see if he is there. Keep in mind if you do this you’ll have to have an open plot available. The next is to wait and see if he’ll appear on your campsite. Either way both methods are luck based, so it’s completely up to chance.

Role of Genji in New Leaf

Genji is a villager again in New Leaf, appearing randomly by chance and you’ll get the opportunity to invite him to stay in your town. New Leaf was his fourth appearance in the Animal Crossing games.

Role of Genji in Wild World

Much like in previous entries, Genji is a villager you can encounter and over time you can convince him to permanently settle into your village by talking and building up your friendship with the rabbit.

Amiibo

Genji Animal Crossing Amiibo

A guaranteed way to get Genji on your island is to use his Amiibo card. Simply scan it with your Switch at the Town Hall. Keep in mind in order to do this you need to have both the Town Hall and Campsite constructed. Once you’ve invited him to your campsite, you simply need to do this three times and he’ll be part of your island!

Trivia

  1. Genji’s shares his shirt design with Gladys
  2. Genji’s nickname for you is mochi
