The Tantas, Athia's matriarchs, previously reigned amiably, but after the Break, they became tyrannical dictators. The qualities they symbolized have become vices. After Tanta Sila accuses her of invading her domain, Frey realizes she must beat all of the Tantas to return home unharmed.
