Odin felt her vision and visited her at her library to demand what she had seen. Odin gets his information from the Seeress. However, he couldn't get all the information except fragments of the prominent figures involved in Ragnarök.
The story afterward involves a lot of manipulation and betrayal from Odin, which results in him getting banished from the realm of Jötunheim. This led to a misconception and misunderstanding of the timing of certain events, such as Baldur's death which led to Ragnarök.

Mimir states that the prophecy didn't take the presence of Kratos and Atreus into account, but they were involved in the events from the beginning. The giants didn't spill all the tea about the prophecy to Mimir even though he was their ally. They kept most of Ragnarök hidden from him, which led Mimir to assume fragments of the actual events from his disconnected knowledge.
