Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss passed away yesterday, leaving behind a lasting legacy. The Lakers won 10 NBA Championships under his ownership.

2. Football: Manchester United through to FA Cup quarter finals.

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez heads home Manchester United’s winner in their 2-1 victory over Reading in the Fifth round of the FA Cup. They will now face either Middlesbrough or Chelsea in the quarter-finals.

3. Hockey: Indian teams make winning starts in World Hockey League.

The Indian Men’s team made a winning start in the World Hockey League, winning 16-0 against Fiji.

The women’s team was not far behind, winning 8-0 against Kazakhstan.

4. Badminton: Germany shock Denmark for European Mixed Team Championship

Germany shocked Denmark for the European Mixed Team Championships title, with Juliane Schenk leading the way for the Germans.

5. F1: Adrian Sutil to test for Force India at Barcelona

F1 Grand Prix of Korea - Practice

Adrian Sutil will test for Force India at Barcelona, along with test driver Jules Bianchi. Both are competing for the last available seat on the grid for the 2013 season.
