Amy Yang is a professional golfer who was born on July 28th 1989, in South Korea. She has had quite a journey, starting at the tender age of 10 in South Korea, but then for a better experience, she relocated to the Gold Coast of Australia at 15 years to sharpen her skills. Her career started taking off when she was an amateur with various victories at several tournaments, such as the Queensland Amateur Championship in 2005, which made her the youngest champion in the Queensland Amateur's history. At the age of 16, she made headlines after winning the ANZ Ladies Masters on Ladies European Tour, again becoming the youngest winner at the tour.

After becoming a professional she got a three-year membership from the Ladies European Tour in 2006. Moving on, she kept on securing several titles and breaking records. Her highlights were winning three titles at the Honda LPGA Thailand in 2015, 2017 and 2019. In 2024, she won her first major title at the Women's PGA Championship and got a place in the Summer Olympics in Paris 2024.
