Christiaan Bezuidenhout, a South African professional golfer born on May 18, 1994, had a positive beta blocker test that resulted in a two-year suspension during his amateur career at the 2014 Amateur Championship. However, his suspension was reduced to nine months after he clarified that he used them to treat anxiety and stuttering.

Bezuidenhout became a professional in 2015, and during his first season, he won five times, but on smaller tours, the Big Easy Tour twice and the IGT Pro Tour three times. After the season, he signed up for the Sunshine Tour via Q School, where he went on to win four events, the most notable of which was the 2020 Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Bezuidenhout began playing on the European Tour in 2018. He defeated Jon Rahm and other players by six strokes to gain his first professional victory at the 2019 Estella Damm N.A. Andulucia Masters. The next season, he had two more wins at the Alfred Dunhill and the South African Open.

After these, he went on a winless streak that is going on as of May 2024; however, at the 2024 American Express, he finished one shot behind Nick Dunlap (an amateur), and because Dunlap was an amateur, Bezuidenhout received the first-place prize money.
