Colby Covington is an American professional fighter and a former UFC interim welterweight champion. Covington is among the prominent fighters in the welterweight division of the UFC. He faced Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title twice at UFC 268 and UFC 278 but failed to secure a run at the undisputed title.
Going forward in his career, Colby Covington locked horns with bitter rival Jorge Masvidal on March 5, 2022, at UFC 272. Both fighters fought through the stipulated five rounds of the fight, and the contest was decided by judges on the judge's scorecard, adjudging Covington as the winner by a unanimous decision.
