UFC 300: Pereira v Hill

Bobby Green, also known as “King,” is an American MMA fighter. He currently competes in the lightweight division at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born on September 9, 1986, in San Bernardino, California, Bobby Green had a difficult childhood. His father was incarcerated, and his mother’s drug addiction prevented him from taking care of her children. Hence, Green became a foster child at 5 years old. He made his UFC debut at UFC 156 against Jacob Volkmann on February 12, 2013. Since then, he has been a 1-time winner of the Submission of the Night, 3-time winner of the Performance of the Night, and 4-time winner of the Fight of the Night.

Green has fought 50 times in MMA, as of March 2025. He won 32 fights (11 by knockout, 9 by submission, and 12 by decision), lost 16 fights (5 by knockout, 3 by submission, and 8 by decision), drew 1 fight, and 1 fight resulted in a no-contest.

Bobby Green’s retirement status

Bobby Green has not retired yet from the world of MMA. He had previously announced his retirement plans on February 8, 2023, after facing Jared Gordon at UFC Fight Night: Pavlovich vs. Blaydes on April 22, 2023. However, that fight ended in a no-contest. Now, Bobby Green is all set to face Mauricio Ruffy on March 8, 2025, in Las Vegas, United States. Therefore, it can be said that the 'King' has no such plans for retirement as of now.
