How did Sergey Spivak and Marina Mokhnatkina get married?

Maria met men's sambo player Mikhail Mokhnatkin, her ex-husband, at the 2011 European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria, and fell in love with him right away.

Mokhnatkina relocated to St. Petersburg and resided with her beloved right after the tournament in Bulgaria. The young couple wed a year later, and their son Alexander was born in 2014.

However, Marina and Mikhail's perfect union abruptly came to an end in 2020 after eight years of matrimony. However, the ex-spouses remained cordial and maintained an amicable relationship.

Following her divorce, Marina gave her sporting career her undivided attention. The girl transferred to the PFL and started training in Miami under the tutelage of American experts.

Mokhnatkina met the seven-year-younger UFC heavyweight from Moldova, Sergey Spivak while training in the USA. They initially merely trained together, but over time, it developed into more. Long before Marina revealed all to the public, the couple kept their relationship a secret.

Mokhnatkina confirmed her marriage to Sergei on social media on July 6. The girl, according to her own admission, could not have even thought of such a thing at the start of the year.
