Belal Muhammad is an accomplished professional mixed martial artist signed with the UFC. He entered professional mixed martial arts on August 18, 2012, by making his debut against Justin Brock. Muhammad won the fight by a first-round TKO to kick off his professional career. Initially, he spent years fighting in multiple fight promotions.

Riding high on a record of nine wins and no losses, Muhammad stormed his way into the UFC on July 7, 2016, in a fight against Alan Jouban. He suffered unanimous decision loss in the bout, however, the 36-year-old champion later bounced back and established a multi-fight winning streak before receiving a shot at the welterweight title. Muhammad faced Leon Edwards at UFC 304 in a welterweight title showdown where he dominated him and won the fight by a unanimous decision to win the title.

The 36-year-old fighter is set to defend his title against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315 on May 10, 2025.
