Team 7 was the Genin team consisting of Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke who were under Kakashi Hatake. They were kinda a problematic group but they manage to balance out with their team dynamics. Kakashi was appointed to take of a Genin team by Might Guy.

After their graduation, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke were put together in a team under the leadership of Kakashi Hatake and were known as Team 7. The dynamics of Team 7 consisted of Naruto Uzumaki, the worst student of the class, Sakura Harano, for her intelligence and chakra control, and Sasuke Uchiha, for his mastery of ninjutsu and genjutsu.
They benefitted each other like Naruto learning from Sakura's intelligence, Sakura learning from her how to battle her comrades, etc. Kakashi led the team to keep an eye on the Nine-Tails jinchuriki as well as to help Sasuke to develop his Sharingan. As Kakashi did with his previous teams, he also gave Team 7 the 'bell test.'
A few of the starting missions of Team 7 were D-rank, which Naruto thought were mere easy jobs for him. After pestering the Third Hokage, they were given a C-rank mission to escort someone to the land of waves. After the mission began they got to know details about the mission which weren't the same as the original one and that the real mission was an A-rank mission, which was way above their Genin level.
Despite this, they manage and pull through the mission successfully. Once returning Kakashi thinks that they all are qualified enough to participate in the chunin exams. But despite their strength Team 7 is unable to pass the chunin exams. After the chunin exams, Sasuke thought that his being in Team 7 is drifting him away from his true goal ie killing his brother Itachi.
He leaves Konoha to go join Orochimaru. Naruto is unable to stop him, Sakura tries to talk him out of it and till Kakashi tries to do anything it is already too late. Later on, Naruto leaves Konoha to train under Jiraiya, and Sakura becomes Tsunade's disciple. Thus Team 7 was disbanded.
After two and a half years Naruto returns to the village and upon meeting Sakura and Kakashi they reform Team 7. Kakashi gives them a bell test, to see how their skills have improved over the years. As their first mission after years, they're sent to Sunagakure to rescue the fifth Kazekage (Gaara) from the Akatsuki.
During the mission, they get to know that there's a chance that they'll be able to see Sasuke but Kakashi over-exhausts himself which leads him to take bed rest. Due to the limited amount of time, Team 7 is assigned Yamato (an Anbu member) to investigate the information that they received on seeing Sasuke. Sai is added to the team to increase the manpower of the team.
They were successful in infiltrating Orochimaru's hideout and met Sasuke, but his growth in strength over the years was a lot more than theirs and they couldn't do anything rather than let him escape. As Kakashi becomes busier with other tasks, Yamato becomes the leader of Team 7 and Sai becomes a permanent member.
When Kakashi and Team Asuma went to fight Hidan and Kakuzu, Yamato led Team 7 to help them provide them backup. Afterward, they come up with a plan that to find Sasuke they need to first find Itachi and they make an eight-man squad for the plan.
The eight-man squad is unsuccessful in stopping Sasuke from falling into the hands of the Akatsuki. After the Pain arc, it was heard that Sasuke's crimes with the Akatsuki reached Konoha and Naruto tried to ask Sasuke to be pardoned but the Raikage refused.
On the other end, their classmates were coming up with a plan to personally kill Sasuke for what evil and chaos he has created. Sakura plotted to kill him on her own with Sai encouraging her but Sakura wasn't able to as she froze seeing him nearly lose her life, luckily Kakashi saved her in time.
After Kakashi listens to the reasoning behind Sakura's action, he realizes that all of this wouldn't have happened if he had prevented Sasuke from going rouge and thinks of killing Sasuke himself but Naruto intervenes before this happens. Naruto and Sasuke have a battle but turn out to be evenly matched for each other and decide that they will battle again another time.
During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, the members of Team 7 fight on the same side as Sasuke also doesn't want to fall victim to the infinite Tsukuyomi. They together fight against the Ten-tails, Obito Uchiha, and Madara Uchiha. Even though the whole battlefield ninjas were under infinite Tsukuyomi, Sasuke was able to protect Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi from it which made them the only ones to fight Kaguya Otsutsuki.
After they won the fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki, their alliance came to an end and Sasuke said that he wanted to start a revolution by killing the tailed beasts and current Kages but Naruto opposed this idea and they fight to settle the matter. After fighting for a long time, the battle ends in a draw as the duo are injured to a point that they're unable to move and Sasuke finally surrenders and accepts Naruto's friendship.
For all that Sasuke did for the war, he’s pardoned for his crimes when Naruto and Kakashi gave their good words and he re-allies himself with Konoha. After the war, Kakashi becomes the 7th Hokage and Naruto, Sai and Sakura disband Team 7 on good terms to focus on their new responsibilities.
Team 7 was assigned to find a lost pet cat named Tora by Madam Shijimi, the wife of Fire Daimyo.
As Naruto pestered the Third Hokage to assign them a more difficult mission, they were assigned to escort Tazuna to the land of waves. During their mission, Tazuna revealed what the real mission was and it turned out to be n A-rank level mission. After great difficulty, Team 7 fought and was successful in completing the mission.
Team 7 was assigned to retrieve a golden statue of a feudal princess that was stolen by thieves. While they were retrieving it, Sakura got taken in as a hostage. They were successful in retrieving the statue even though it got damaged in the process.
Kakashi has appointed Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru and Pakkun to go and located Sasuke and Gaara. This was their second A-rank mission after the land of waves.
Team 7 and Gaara are sent on a mission to locate a group of bandits who were wandering between Konohagakure and Sunagakure.
Team Kakashi was sent to aid Sunagakure in rescuing Gaara from the clutches of the Akatsuki. The Akatsuki members were killed and Gaara was saved.
With the information they had from Sasori regarding Sasuke, Team Kakashi which was led by Yamato went to meet the spy who led them to Orochimaru's hideout. Upon meeting Sasuke, they realised that he has become too strong for them and return while Sasuke leaves with Orochimaru.
Team Yamato had gone to aid Kakashi leading team 10 to fight the Akatsuki members Hidan and Kakuzu. They all worked together and managed to kill both of them!.
Team Yamato was also part of the eight-man squad to search for Sasuke. Their original goal was to find Itachi but they changed it to locating Sasuke. As they were getting stalled by the Akatsuki, they got to know about Itachi's death and how Sasuke had been taken to the Akatsuki's hideout.
After escaping the infinite Tsukuyomi with the help of Sasuke, Team 7 was the only one remaining to battle Kaguya Otsutsuki. Kakashi named this a mission for team 7. With a strategy in place, they managed to defeat her and saved the world.
When Kakashi saw his students, he was reminded of his old team under Minato. The dynamics of both the teams were the same!
All the members of Team 7 are trained under the three legendary Sannin. Naruto under Jiraiya, Sakura under Tsunade, and Sasuke under Orochimaru.
Due to training under the Tannins, they can also summon the same creatures as their master! Naruto summoned toads, Sakura summoned slugs, and Sasuke summoned snakes.
A. The reason Kakashi wears a mask is so that he can hide his nosebleed when he reads the ‘Ichiraku series.’
A. After training under Tsunade, Sakura is now able to heal wounds and is the most skilled medical ninja. She also possesses a huge amount of physical strength.
