DeAndre Hopkins found himself at the center of many trade rumors this offseason but the wide receiver is still with the Cardinals. Hopkins has played with a range of quarterbacks throughout his career from Matt Schaub to Deshaun Watson and more recently Kyler Murray.

The wideout made an appearance on the "I Am Athlete" podcast, speaking about Murray and how he's misunderstood. The three-time All-Pro used an analogy that involved the recently retired Tom Brady to make his point:

"I think people give him a tough time because what you say he's fiery. Dude is a competitor, a real competitor. I've never seen anything like it. And I love it.
"That's why him and I, sometimes we butt heads. But it's love. It's like butt heads with your brother. It's like both y'all want to win. Both of y'all want to compete.

"You know what, Tom Brady go cuss out everybody on the sidelines, throw whatever. And that's just all Tom Brady. But Kyler do it in a game. And you know, it's the talk on top of everything. So, you know, I think for him, he's misunderstood, but he's competitive."

Kyler Murray started 11 games last season for the Arizona Cardinals after suffering an ACL injury, missing six starts. He threw for 2,365 yards, 14 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in those 11 games.

Murray's struggles last season led to the firing of head coach Kliff Kingsbury this offseason.

He was seen on the sidelines yelling at Kingsbury during Arizona's Thursday Night game versus the New Orleans Saints last season. Hopkins got in between both and comforted Murray, putting his arm around him and talking to him.

DeAndre Hopkins names QBs to play with other than Murray

DeAndre Hopkins was also asked on the "I Am Athlete" podcast which other quarterbacks he would want to play with besides Kyler Murray. Hopkins listed Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen as one:

"That's a good question. I would have to say one of my favorite quarterbacks I've been watching since he came in the league is Josh Allen. He reminds me of a new-school Andrew Luck."

He also listed Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson as well. We will see which quarterback the receiver will get the chance to play with this upcoming season, as the trade rumors continue to swirl.
