The Kansas City Chiefs are about to partake in their third Super Bowl in five years, cementing themselves as the premier football dynasty of the past half-decade.

The Chiefs are a stacked side from top to bottom and are super easy to root for, from their generational QB, Patrick Mahomes, to their charismatic tight end, Travis Kelce, and their Hall of Fame-worthy coach, Andy Reid. The Chiefs have slowly become the franchise that other NFL teams aspire to be.

Another reason the Kansas City Chiefs have developed a great following is their mascot, KC Wolf, which has become the life of the NFL party. There's so much to love about Wolf, and we will tell you everything you need to know about Arrowhead Stadium's landlord.

Who is Kansas City Chiefs mascot, KC Wolf?

KC Wolf is the official mascot of perennial AFC Conference champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. Wolf was named after the team's 'Wolfpack', a group of enthusiastic fans who sat in temporary bleachers at the Municipal Stadium.

KC Wolf was introduced to the league in 1989 when the National Football League needed a jolt of fun. Back then, the NFL didn't have a lot of popular mascots, so KC Wolf was soft of a trendsetter in the league.

The Kansas City Chiefs' number one fan developed a following, thanks to its hilarious dance moves, avid loyalty, and its love for the Chiefs before they became one of the league's best teams.

KC Wolf isn't just a mascot but a motivational speaker, live performer, and excellent all-around character. The mascot is portrayed by Kansas City Chiefs' superfan Dan Meers, who has donned the costume since 1989.

Wolf's most iconic antics include tackling a drunk fan who wandered onto the field in the 2001 Pro Bowl. It also aided security guards in taking down a fan who had come to Arrowhead Stadium on September 23, 2007. What can we say? KC Wolf doesn't like it when so-called fans desecrate the sanctity of the football field.

How gave Kansas City Chiefs performed this season?

The Chiefs had a solid 2022 NFL regular season and proved the bookies right with their performances. The Chiefs were tipped to win the AFC Conference, and they did just that by becoming the first seed in a ridiculously stacked Conference. They won 14 of 17 games in the regular season, only losing to the Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals.

They earned a first-round bye in the playoffs, thanks to their number one position in the AFC. Following their bye week, they toppled the Jacksonville Jaguars in a surprisingly close Divisional Round game. They then took on the Cincinnati Bengals in a grudge match between two of the AFC's best teams. The Chiefs got their revenge on the Bengals, winning 23-20 to advance to the 2023 Super Bowl game.

They will now face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, a game between the two best teams in the NFL. KC Wolf will likely watch the game from a vantage point.
