Appearance of Palkia
Palkia is a large purple and white dragon Pokemon. Though it does seem to be dragon inspired, it also takes a few design cues from bipedal dinosaurs as well as having a large purple pearl on it. These pearls may be in reference to their water typing or the vast space the ocean takes up.
Behavior of Palkia
While Palkia is largely a benevolent and unseen deity, usually staying hidden in a space parallel to our own, there are a few times it has acted out. During the events of the movie ‘The Rise of Darkrai,’ Palkia is shown to be irritable towards its fellow deity Pokemon and when fighting them, cares little for what gets caught in the crossfire.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Palkia’s dragon/water typing is rather strong, giving it few weaknesses as well as some good resistances. It takes half damage from steel type moves and takes 25% damage from fire and water type moves. It only takes double damage from two types, dragon and fairy type moves.
Shiny Palkia
Shiny Palkia is the rare recolored form of Palkia. Shiny Palkia is far pinker than its normal form. Shiny Palkia has its white coloring replaced with light pink and the parts of Shiny Palkia that were already pink are even pinker.
Mega Palkia
Mega Palkia does not exist in the Pokemon series. Presumably, Mega Palkia would be the Mega Evolved form of Palkia and many fans have made their own versions of the theoretical Pokemon. Mega Palkia has been added to fan-made Pokedexes on some sites and some different designs have appeared, one of the most popular being Mega Palkia from the site Pokemon Pets.
Primal Palkia
Primal Palkia is the corrupted form of Palkia that appears as a boss in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. Primal Palkia is similar to a shiny in that its design hasn't changed but its colors are. Primal Palkia is a dark purple color and its pink accents are now a magma-like red color. The pearl on Primal Palkia is also now a blood-red color.
