CM Punk is an American professional wrestler currently signed with WWE. CM Punk's real name is Phillips Jack Brooks and he is also an actor, sports commentator, and retired mixed martial artist. He is best known for his time in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he had a 434-day WWE Championship reign, which is the seventh longest championship reign of the company. He then retired for the first time in 2014 at the age of 35. He turned his focus towards mixed martial arts and entered UFC, he had two matches in four years with a loss and a no contest, and he retired with poor MMA records.

In 2021, CM Punk made his AEW debut at The First Dance event of Rampage, stepping inside the wrestling ring for the first time in 7 years. Where he challenged Darby Allin to a match at All Out, marking his first wrestling match since his first retirement. He then had a three-month-long feud with MJF and marked his first defeat in 7 years on an episode of Dynamite. Punk won the AEW World Championship twice, on his first reign he got injured and lost his title to the interim AEW World Champion which he regained after a week but was forced to forfeit as a result of suspension. He got suspended due to a legitimate fight backstage with Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and Young Bucks. He also tore his muscle and underwent surgery which took him away from television for nine months. He made his return on the debut episode of Collision and wrestled for a few months before leaving AEW once and for all.

In November 2023, Punk made his long-awaited return to WWE at Survivor Series. Then, he became the second wrestler after Cody Rhodes to book their seat at the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match.
