WWE Monday Night RAW is the flagship programming of the pro-wrestling promotion WWE. RAW was first aired on January 11, 1993, and has since continued as a weekly program airing every week on Monday Nights. The show currently airs on the USA Network, where it has been since 2005. It can also be streamed via WWE Network while in the United States, RAW can be streamed via Peacock TV 30 days after the show is aired. The show is one of the longest-running weekly episodic programs in the US with over 1500 original episodes. It is also one of the longest weekly pro-wrestling programs with a total runtime of three hours including the commercials.

WWE RAW April 15, 2024 Highlights


Cody Rhodes Thanks the WWE Universe


Cody Rhodes came out to celebrate his Undisputed WWE Championship victory over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL Night Two. His celebration was cut-short the previous week due to The Rock, but The American Nightmare went on to complete his speech this time. He also thanked Seth 'Freakin' Rollins for his constant support throughout the feud. In the end, he was greeted by Jey Uso, with whom Rhodes had previously won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.


Sheamus Returns


Sheamus last competed in a match in 2023 against former WWE Superstar Edge. He made his official return to wrestling on the April 15, 2024, episode of Monday Night RAW. The former world champion faced off against Ivar in a singles match and defeated the giant to mark a huge return.


Rhea Ripley vacates the Women's World Title


Following an attack by Liv Morgan last week, Rhea Ripley was seen wearing an arm sling. In the ring, she explained that Morgan's attack had injured her severely and that she was no longer able to compete for an indefinite period. Thus, the Eradicator relinquished her Women's World Championship.


Jey Uso takes on the Judgment Day


Last week, Jey Uso defeated Drew McIntyre, Bronson Reed and Ricochet to become the number one contender for Damian Priest's World Heavyweight Championship. On the April 15, 2024, episode of RAW, he took on Priest's Judgment Day teammate and former world champion Finn Balor in a singles match. Uso defeated Balor and was then attacked by Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. However, Main Event Uso yeeted his way out of the ring and outsmarted the Judgment Day. The fight between Priest and Uso is now on for Backlash France.


Intercontinental Title Match


In the main event of Monday Night RAW, Sami Zayn defended his Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable in a singles match. The match was a brutal one and despite Gable's impressive performance, it was the champion who managed to hold on to the gold after the match. However, before RAW went off air, Sami Zayn went to console a depressed Gable before the latter attacked Zayn and threw him over the announce desk with a huge German Suplex.


Before the introduction of RAW, WWF Prime Time Wrestling was the premier programming for the promotion which aired on the USA Network from January 1985 to January 1993. It was then replaced by RAW and it began airing on the network on the 11th of January, 1993. Before RAW, pro-wrestling TV programs were usually pre-taped. However, it changed the game by airing it as and when it was happening in front of a live audience. The program was sixty minutes long when it was first introduced. It was pushed to two hours in January 1997 and finally to the current three-hour format in July 2012.

Coverage

Upon its introduction, RAW aired on the USA Network in the United States as a sixty-minute program. It got shifted to TNN/Spike TV in February 1997 and was again shifted to the USA Network in 2005, where it airs currently. It airs in India on the Sony Ten channel and can be streamed via the SonyLiv app. In the United Kingdom, it airs live on BT Sport and on The Score Sportsnet 360 OLN in Canada. Since its inception, WWE RAW has aired in ten different countries namely the USA, Canada, UK, Afghanistan, Germany, Spain, Iraq, South Africa, Mexico, and Italy.
