Lionel Gerard Green, also known as Lio Rush, was born on November 11, 1994. He is an American professional wrestler and musician, and he was a one-time Impact X Division Champion on Impact Wrestling, his current promotion.

Rush also serves as a member of the Chaos stable for Major League Wrestling (MLW) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). He also performed for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) as Aracno. Along with his experience in Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), where he twice won the CZW Wired Championship and once the CZW World Heavyweight Championship, he also won the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament at the Ring of Honor (ROH).

Rush was the youngest NXT Cruiserweight Champion while he was employed with WWE. He was the 2018 WWE United Kingdom Championship Invitational winner as well as Bobby Lashley's manager in the WWE.

What is the Lio Rush contract?

Lio Rush currently has a contract with Impact Wrestling as of November 2023. However, no financial information about his contract is available. In May 2021, Rush appeared for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view, competing in the Casino Battle Royale match. Matt Hardy, assisted by the Private Party, eventually defeated Rush.

After the match, Rush announced his retirement from professional wrestling; however, he later disclosed that he had signed a contract with NJPW. Later on, Rush inked an official contract with AEW on September 29, which was scheduled to expire on January 22, 2022, after which he would become a free agent.

Lio Rush was one of the many people who felt offended by Tony Khan's response to Big Swole. Rush insisted that Tony Khan issue an apology. The issue here was Big Swole’s interview, in which she discussed her concerns about AEW and the lack of diversity after she didn’t extend her contract and parted ways with AEW. She claimed that the booking policy of AEW placed some of the company's talent on Dark and Elevation rather than Rampage and Dynamite.

Tony Khan responded by providing other examples of diversity on his roster before announcing in his final tweet that he decided not to extend Big Swole's contract because he did not think she was a good enough wrestler.

Lio Rush’s Net Worth

The net worth of Lio Rush is estimated to be $1 million as of 2023. Rush is said to have earned close to $200,000 from his wrestling bouts in AEW. The annual salary of an AEW wrestler can range from $20,000 to $6 million. However, Rush’s exact 2023 salary is not known.

Rush's involvement in wrestling matches and his musical career are his main sources of income. He hasn't had a particularly successful music career, but he's been hugely successful in the wrestling world.
