Dwyane Wade’s wife Gabrielle Union shares throwback snap with ‘2 B Loved’ hitmaker Janet Jackson

Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade’s wife, model and entrepreneur Gabrielle Union, posted a heartwarming throwback featuring pop star Janet Jackson. The two celebrities have been friends for some time now, as Union has previously been seen attending her concerts and was reportedly extremely excited about meeting Jackson in 2017 as well, back when the photo was taken.

Union reshared the initial post on her Instagram story, posted by user gab_unionfp. It comes two days after Janet Jackson’s 58th birthday, on May 16, which could be the reason for Union to post the throwback pick.

Jackson has won five Grammys and 10 MTV Music Video Awards. Her latest album, Unbreakable, was released in 2015 and also included the hit song ‘2 B Loved.’ Jackson is currently on a long-running world tour.

Titled the Together Again Tour, it has already seen Jackson perform at multiple venues across the US, with Ludacris as her opening act. Set to perform at the PPL Center in Pennsylvania on May 18, Jackson will see Lil’ Kim perform as the opening act in the specific show.

That is the only time Lil’ Kim will be opening her act, with most of the tour featuring Ludacris as the opening act.

Gabrielle Union attended the 2024 Met Gala alongside Dwyane Wade

Gabrielle Union and her husband were among the stars who walked the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 6 for the Met Gala. Union, known for her strong fashion sense, walked the carpet wearing a sparkling gown with a lilac scale pattern.

The lilac shade of the dress cascaded to blue and green, making for a remarkable look. It also included a silver star, which she wore in her hair. Union’s outfit complemented the theme "The Garden of Time."

With Dwyane Wade sporting a lilac suit from Versace and two necklaces, the couple attended their fifth Met Gala together. The two were first seen at the event in 2015 as newlyweds, which had the theme “Charles James: Beyond Fashion."

Gabrielle Union wore a monochrome leather outfit alongside her husband at the 2023 event and chose to dress entirely in red.
