After suffering another long-term injury, many were starting to become skeptical about how good Victor Oladipo could potentially be. But, so far, the signs have been encouraging.
The 28-year-old is a livewire on the offensive end. He has a very quick first step and his elite burst of speed helps him get past defenders. Oladipo's perimeter shot has also improved rapidly, which allows him to space the floor. Couple that with the fact that he is an irritant on the defensive end and the prospect of acquiring only gets more tempting for the Dallas Mavericks.
Victor Oladipo brings versatility to the table and should be one of the players the Dallas Mavericks look to acquire in 2021 NBA Free Agency.
#2 Rudy Gobert
This may seem like an odd one at first but Rudy Gobert would be a perfect fit for Dallas.
Due to Kristaps Porzingis' fitness issues, the Mavericks are often left with Maxi Kleber as the rim protector. The German has the size but lacks the ability to be a consistently good defender
Bringing in Rudy Gobert would instantly take the franchise's defense to a whole different level and would make their interior defense nearly impenetrable. This would go a long way in stopping opposing offenses and would allow the Dallas Mavericks to outscore their opponents.
It is true that Rudy Gobert is not the most complete player on the offensive end/ However, his contributions on defense alone should give the Mavs enough incentive to acquire him during the 2021 NBA Free Agency period.
#1 Tim Hardaway Jr.
First on our list is Tim Hardaway Jr., who, up to this point, has been one of the most important players on the Dallas Mavericks' roster. However, there have been recent rumblings of the player potentially looking to leave the franchise.
The 28-year-old is excellent on the offensive end. He is a threat from behind the arc and is also very good at driving and finishing at the rim. He also has the ability to create for the team and can function as a secondary playmaker.
The former New York Knicks player is also a very good team defender and has shown improvement on that end of the floor in his time with the Mavericks.
The Dallas Mavericks' priority in the 2021 NBA Free Agency must be to find a way to convince Tim Haradway Jr. to extend his stay with the team.
