The New Orleans Pelicans (4-16) have struggled this season, and the uncertain future of star forward Brandon Ingram has all but deepened their troubles.
ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Ingram signed with Klutch Sports Group to represent him, adding to speculation about his future after this season.

Ingram will become an unrestricted free agent next summer. During the offseason, the Pelicans were unwilling to meet his demands for a maximum contract extension worth $50 million.

Here's a closer look at five possible teams for Brandon Ingram:
Top 5 landing spots for Brandon Ingram
#5. Los Angeles Clippers

When the LA Clippers lost star player Paul George to the Philadelphia 76ers, many fans and analysts doubted their chances of success this season.
Although the Clippers have surprised many this season with a 12-9 record, the injury to two-time NBA champion Kawhi Leonard has made the team rely on James Harden. The Clippers need another reliable scorer and Brandon Ingram could be the answer.
#4. Detroit Pistons

While last season (14–68) was a disaster for the Detroit Pistons, they can say they have made progress. The team is currently occupying the playoff spot (10th) in the Eastern Conference.
Detroit seems to be building the franchise around guard Cade Cunningham and trading for Brandon Ingram could be a key move. Ingram would provide a reliable shot creator alongside Cunningham.
#3. Miami Heat

Every season, the Miami Heat face a question: What to do with Jimmy Butler? "Mr. Playoffs" comes through when it matters, except last season, when he suffered an unwanted injury.
The Heat are desperate to return to being the feared team in the East and Ingram could be the answer. He would bring much-needed offensive creativity to the Heat.
#2. Golden State Warriors

With four straight losses and a roster that does not look deep enough after Klay Thompson's injury, the Golden State Warriors struggle to manage the workload and keep winning games. They need a reliable on-ball creator to complement Steph Curry, and Ingram fits the bill.
The Warriors have what it takes to help Ingram thrive in their system. With Ingram on board, the Warriors would become an even more formidable force in the Western Conference.
#1. Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies were the Western Conference’s surprise package two seasons ago due to the emergence of Ja Morant. But things went a bit downhill after the latter got injured.
However, Memphis has started the season well with a 13-7 record. Should Brandon Ingram's arrive as a trade, the team will likely have a stronger attacking front. The former lottery pick would complement the team's talent and make the Memphis Grizzlies a serious championship contender.
