"Damn, man! I got to listen to rap?" - De'Aaron Fox reacts hilariously after being questioned over liking Ed Sheeran

Boston Celtics v Sacramento Kings
Sacramento Kings star De'Aaron Fox

De'Aaron Fox recently revealed that he is a fan of English musician Ed Sheeran. Speaking with Jayson Buford of GQ, Fox was asked what music he is currently listening to, revealing:

"I got a little Ed Sheeran."

Buford responded by asking if the one-time All-Star was serious, leading Fox to respond:

"Damn, man! I got to listen to rap?"

After Buford apologized for his reaction, Fox added:

"Damn! [Laughs] This guy Luke Christopher is good. He’s from Southern California. Does a lot of rap and R&B."

De'Aaron Fox's co-star Domantas Sabonis shared that he is also a fan of Ed Sheeran, adding:

"Other than what the guys are listening to in the locker room, I got some Ed Sheeran too. He was the first concert I went to too... It was amazing. He gets into it with the fans like it was just an interview."

The Sacramento Kings are set to reach the postseason for the first time since the 2005-2006 season. It appears that Ed Sheeran's music may be a driving factor behind the play of their two All-Stars.

De'Aaron Fox reveals that he doesn't enjoy college basketball

De'Aaron Fox spent one season at the University of Kentucky before being selected fifth overall in the 2017 NBA Draft. While speaking with Matt George of ABC 10 Sacramento, the one-time All-Star recently revealed that he is not a fan of the college game, stating:

"I kind of flip through college games. I can't watch a full college game. I can't. It's hard. It's hard. Just the shotmaking is not at, obviously, the pro level. The refs are bad. A lot of coaching is really bad. I can't stand it."

Fox later took to Twitter to double down on his stance while responding to people disagreeing with his sentiment, even suggesting that many around the NBA agree with him, as he stated:

"Proves my point doesn’t it? Also I’m not a scout, nor are you and fans. Not sure what that has to do with anything I said 🤷🏾‍♂️"
"Come on Rashad. Ask all the NBA personnel you know if they enjoy watching college basketball, & not just the players. You’ll get an overwhelming no. I don’t get why that’s a problem lol"

While the NCAA Tournament has had plenty of complaints, particularly about officiating, March Madness remains one of the biggest events in sports. In his lone season of college basketball, Fox helped lead the Kentucky Wildcats to the Elite Eight.
