About Sacramento Kings Depth Chart
The Sacramento Kings depth chart features a terrific lineup that is ready to replicate their success from last season when the Kings made it to the NBA playoffs after a 16-year drought while lodging the greatest offensive rating in NBA history of 119.4.
The 2023-24 Sacramento Kings Depth Chart again has the potent combination of seasoned veterans and rising young talent. Headlined by the three-time All-Star Domantas Sabonis and the “Clutch Player of the Year” from the 2022-23 NBA season, De'Aaron Fox, the Kings Depth Chart aims to cement their status as a dominant force in the 2023-24 NBA season.
At the forefront of the Kings depth chart is center Domantas Sabonis, who is known for his solid basketball IQ and amazing ball handling. Standing at 6'11", Sabonis is an anomaly at center positions as he is one of very few centers who can carry the ball down the court in transition.
Sabonis is a double-double machine whose presence on both ends of the floor elevates the Kings to another level. Supporting him in the paint is the experienced Harrison Barnes, re-signed in the summer by the Kings. Barnes will bring his veteran leadership and fundamentally solid all-around game to the Kings depth chart. At small forward is sophomore sensation Keegan Murray who is known for his great three-point shooting.
In the backcourt, the 2023 All-Star, “Swipa” De'Aaron Fox is a superfast, explosive point guard and the franchise star. Fox was drafted fifth overall by the Kings back in 2017, and he will be the de facto leader of the Kings offense. Fox has a brilliant coordination with Sabonis, as their hand-offs are tough to guard. The shooting guard position will be held by “Red Velvet” Kevin Huerter, a 3-point sniper with great shooting skills overall.
The Kings boast another elite bench in the NBA as their sixth man Malik Monk, will truly be a contender for the Sixth Man of the Year in the 2023-24 NBA season. Monk is an athletic shooting guard known for his high-flying dunks. Monk is more prone to attacking the rim, and creating separation to hit tough mid-range shots and at times, deep three pointers.
Providing much-needed defense off the bench is Davion Mitchell, the six-foot guard from Baylor University. Then, the reigning MVP of Euroleague Sasha Vezenkov adds elite stretch four capabilities to the Kings depth chart, while swingmen Chris Duarte and Kessler Edwards provide additional depth. Lastly, backing up Sabonis will be another stretch four, experienced Trey Lyles, along with two seasoned seven-footers, Alex Len and JaVale McGee. The Kings Depth Chart showcases a mix of experience and energy, and their offense will be terrifying for yet another season.
