The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most iconic teams the NBA has ever seen. They are royalty in yellow and gold, and though their last few seasons have not been exceptional, the team has hosted some of the greatest players of all time.

The Lakers are a team that commands togetherness and support. Being able to put together a group of the greats who have played here would make this team unstoppable.

Now, it was a big deal for the Lakers and was also seen as their comeback to the top when they announced that they were acquiring LeBron James for their 2018-19 roster.

This seemed to work for them more in the first half of the season, but with changing gameplay dynamic, we can't tell for sure anymore. The Lakers have proven their worth. They've been in the playoffs in 60 out of 71 all-time seasons and have 16 championships.

A big man from the Lakers, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a key player for the Lakers on both offense and defense. He was intuitive on the court and quick on his feet despite his massive stature.

Through his 14 season run Kareem Abdul-Jabbar averaged 22.1 points per game and even had a super strong 11.2 rebounds per game. He also was really good at blocking at 2.6 per game. With all of this put together he definitely deserved to be in the Hall of Fame.

Jerry West was a through and through Lakers guy. Though he was nowhere close to being the biggest man on the court, his presence was always felt.

He seemed to have a special ability to use a combination of tactics and willpower to pull the team through.

By the end of his time in the NBA Jerry West had averaged a commendable 27 points per game with his peak at the age of 24.

In his '69-'70 season he was making 31.2 points per game. In terms of his other all-around stats, he was also averaging a fabulous 6.7 assists per game and 2.6 steals.

Shaquille O'Neal, also known as the big man at the wheel, played for the Lakers for most of his career.

He played a very public eight seasons with the Lakers and has never failed to impress. He was one of the few big men on the court in his time that did not have too many issues making a lot of points.

He averaged a fantastic 27.0 points through his time with the lakers and also put his huge stature to good use averaging 11.8 rebounds and a solid 2.5 blocks per game.

Magic Johnson is perhaps one of the most phenomenal players the world has ever had a chance to be in the presence of.

He was dedicated to the game and never seemed to take his eye off the ball. He never let anything stop him including ailments and injuries until his HIV took over.

Even with these issues, Magic Johnson averaged 19.5 points through the duration of his career alongside a great 11.2 assists per game and even managing to get in 1.9 steals per game. He peaked during the 1980-81 season when he was averaging 3.4 steals per game.
