#3 Damian Lillard - 94 (possibly 95)

Damian Lillard started NBA 2K21 as a 94 rated player, went up to 95 for a brief few months and then ended the season with 94. He is expected to stay that number for NBA 2K22 and not much has changed in terms of his game. However, his 55-point eruption with 12 threes in an NBA playoff game combined with his Olympic gold medal might lead to an increase in his ratings. He did play at an MVP level last season and led the Portland Trail Blazers to the 6th seed in the Western Conference.

Damian Lillard was the cover athlete for NBA 2K21. He has 64-rated inside scoring, 91-rated outside scoring, 88-rated athleticism, 89-rated playmaking, 43-rated rebounding and 57-rated defense. He has a total of 44 badges in the game with 32 gold, 8 silver, 2 bronze and 2 Hall of Fame badges.

#2 Luka Doncic - 95 (possibly 96)

The NBA 2K22 cover athlete, Luka Doncic will probably be the second-highest rated point guard in the game. Cover athletes usually have one of the highest ratings in NBA 2K and combined with the fact that Luka Doncic's ratings have been increasing drastically every year, we should expect a 95 or 96 rated Doncic in the upcoming game. He had a net rating of 79 in his rookie year (NBA 2K19), 87 in his sophomore year (NBA 2K20) and a whopping 94 rating last season (NBA 2K21).

Luka Doncic is rated 94 overall in NBA 2K21 with 79-rated inside scoring, 63-rated defense, 59-rated rebounding, 90-rated playmaking, 84-rated athleticism, and 91-rated outside scoring. He has a total of 45 badges in the game with a whopping 37 gold badges along with 4 silver and 4 bronze. He still has a long way to go before acquiring Hall of Fame badges to his name but given his rapid rise, one shouldn't be surprised if he gets there sooner rather than later.

#1 Stephen Curry - 97 (possibly 98)

Stephen Curry has been the highest rated point guard for a while now. He started the NBA 2K21 game with a 95 rating but steadily climbed to 97 by the end of the season. He went berserk in the 2020-21 NBA season, breaking a plethora of records and earning the 2021 scoring title with 32 points per game.

Curry was playing surreal last season. He had a 54-point career high that stood since 2013 which he broke twice last season itself. He made an NBA-record 96 threes in the calender month of April on a ridiculous 49% clip. These are some of the reasons why we expect his rating to either stay put at 97 or go up to 98.

Curry has 59-rated inside scoring, 97-rated outside scoring, 83-rated athleticism, 91-rated playmaking, 49-rated rebounding and 63-rated defense. He has a total of 45 badges in the game with 33 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze and 3 Hall of Fame badges.
